When you come together 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 There’s a possibility that being part of a church could leave us worse off rather than better. REPENT OF SELF-CENTEREDNESS In the light of Christ's selfless sacrifice, we may find the strength to emerge from the blanket of selfishness. A continual self-centered attitude is, in truth, a reflection of our disregard for Christ and the Church of God. REMEMBER HIS SUFFERINGS If we fail to remember both how and why the Lord endured suffering, we partake in communion in an unworthy manner. The Lord's Supper is a time to remember Christ's death while honestly repenting, reconciling, and surrendering in the light of His sufferings. RE-EXAMINE OUR LOVE Communion is about both our relationship with the Lord and our connection with our fellow believers. Weakness, sickness, and death may serve as Divine discipline for partaking in communion unworthily.
