Joshua 24:15

  1. THERE ARE OPTIONS
  1. There is a choice to make
  2. To make no choice is a choice
  3. You cannot say yes to one thing without saying no to something else
  1. EACH FAMILY MUST DECIDE
  1. Father decides first, influences his household
  2. “Put it in writing”
  3. Jesus' overarching mission statements (John 17:20-27)
  1. Seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10)
  2. Bear witness to the truth (John 18:37)
  3. To serve (Matthew 20:28)
  1. Jesus' overarching commands
  1. To love God and love our neighbors (Matthew 22:34-40)
  1. Love God with all our heart, mind, and strength
  2. Love our neighbor as ourself
  1. To evangelize the world (Matthew 28:18-20)
  1. Jesus has all authority
  2. We make disciples
  3. We are without borders
  4. We bring them into meaningful fellowship with those that are saved
  5. We teach them to obey all things Jesus commanded

  1. Take a family inventory
  2. Consider your goals
  3. Conceptuazlie the statement
  4. Fine tune and personalize the statement
