The Fruit of Thanksgiving

Psalm 100

If we are going to be thankful, our best example is Jesus.

(Psalm 100:1-5)

  1. JESUS GIVES THANKS FOR GOD'S SIMPLICITY (Matthew 11:25-30)
  1. Revelation
  2. Trust (eliminates fear)
  3. Rest in your labors
  4. Shopping list prayers
  1. JESUS GIVES THANKS FOR GOD'S PROVISION (John 6:1-13)
  1. Fills inadequacy
  2. Gratitude instead of anxiety as a lifestyle
  3. Multiplication of our resources
  1. JESUS GIVES THANKS FOR GOD'S ATTENTION (John 11:38-44)
  1. God always hears his children
  2. Because God always hears Jesus
  3. Prayer with works
  4. We can pray in Jesus name
  1. THANKFULNESS LEADS TO GOD'S POWER TO ENDURE (Luke 22:17-19)
  1. Prayer at the last supper
  2. Thankful that He could shed His blood in our place
  3. We need to pray for trials to come

What about you?

  1. Be thankful for the Holy Spirit who reveals God's mind, heart, and will to us.
  2. Be thankful for God's provision in our lack.
  3. Be thankful for God always hearing our prayers.
  4. Be thankful for God providing the strength to endure trials.
