Prayer: Thankfulness

(2 Chronicles 7:14) (Luke 17:11-19)

Thankfulness is found only in humility.

1. THOSE WHO ARE NEVER THANKFUL

   1. Thankfulness must be taught (Luke 17:15-16)
   2. Unthankfulness marks an unbeliever (Romans 1:21)
   3. Unthankfulness says God is not enough (Numbers 14:1-4)
   4. Unthankfulness is unbelief in God's goodness (Genesis 3:2-5)
   5. Unthankfulness shows we are outside of God's will (1 Thessalonians 5:18) (Ephesians 5:19-21) (Philippians 4:6)

2. THOSE WHO ARE THANKFUL FOR THINGS

   1. Only in the right circumtances (John 11:21-24) (John 11:32-35)
   2. Only when God “blesses” us (Luke 16:19-31)
   3. Only when God gives us what we want (2 Corinthians 12:1-10)

3. THOSE WHO ARE THANKFUL IN ALL THINGS

1. Be thankful in all things (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
2. Be thankful God saved you (Luke 10:20)
3. Be thankful God is on His throne (Romans 8:37-39)

What about you?

1. Take thankfulness seriously.
2. Practice thanksgiving daily.
3. Be thankful in all things in your life, living it to glorify God.
