( 2 Chronicles 7:14)

Our confidence in prayer come directly from abiding in Christ and Christ abiding in us.

  1. HOW WE ABIDE IN CHRIST (John 15:1-11)

    1. The set up
      1. Christ is the vine
      2. Father tends the garden
    2. Abide in Christ
      1. Abide means: to say in a given place, state, relation or expectancy, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry
      2. Abide appears in verse 4,5,6,7,10
      3. Verse 5 - Christ abides in us as well
  2. EVIDENCE OF ABIDING IS IN FRUITFULNESS

    1. Branches bear fruit (and are pruned)
    2. To bear more fruit
    3. Branches bear no fruit
    4. Cut out to be burned
  3. ASKING (SUPPLICATION) WHAT YOU WISH

  1. We can ask what we wish because if we abide our wish is Christ's wish
  2. It will be done
  3. Glorifies the Father
  4. Bears fruit
  5. Proves you are a disciple
  1. RESULTS OF ABIDING
    1. We have the love of God
    2. We continue to abide

What about you?

  1. For what do you kneel down and cry out ot God about with tears?
  2. Are you abiding in Christ and His word is abiding in you?
  3. What is your fruit?
