How you help others determines your spiritual gift.

  1. YOUR TALENT IS NOT YOUR GIFT 12:1-3 (Define gift - supernatural ability in how you help or encourage others)

    1. God wants us to know
    2. Gifts will never deny Christ
  2. GIFTS COME FROM ONE SOURCE WITH MUCH VARIETY

    1. Gifts come from The Holy Spirit alone
    2. Gifts have variety
    3. Gifts have variety of service
    4. Gifts have variety of activity
    5. Gifts are for the common good
    6. Gifts are given by God's will
  3. YOUR GIFT IS NESCESSARY FOR THE CHURCH

  1. Better than the gifts is to act in love (12:22-31) encourage one another
  2. The gifts are for the building up of the church (14:5) helping one another
  3. Strive to build up the church (14:12)
  4. Exercising gifts are not good if they do not build up the body (14:17)
  5. Exercising gifts for ourselves will discourage salvation in others

What about you?

  1. Think of a situation in which God wants you to re-gift your spiritual gift.
  2. Exercise your spiritual gift in that situation.
  3. Thank God for the supernatural gift He has given you.
