Jesus

Jesus is the feeding trough.

Everything you need is in one Name, Jesus.

1. THE NAME

   1. Jesus - Yahweh saves
   2. Greek word for Hebrew word translated Joshua in English
   3. This name revealed to Mary first, then Joseph
   4. Transition: The name Jesus did not begin in Bethlehem

2. THE PROPHESY (Luke 1:31) (Luke 2:21)

   1. God saves (Isaiah 53:10)
      1. Rescues
      2. Delivers
      3. Sets free
   2. The Messiah is the deliverer (Habakkuk 3:13)

3. THE PLAN (Isaiah 9:6) (Luke 2:14)

1. God makes us whole
   1. Even more than rescues us
   2. Stays with us
   3. Heals us (Isaiah 53:5)
2. Man wants to earn his own salvation
   1. Hear it in children
   2. We want to work for it
   3. We want to keep the law for it
3. Our failure is summed upon in unbelief
   1. We do not believe God is enough
   2. We doubt His love for us
   3. We do not trust His word, His ability, or His motivation
4. God has exalted the Name
   1. The Name of God (John 1:1)
   2. The Name paid the price (Philippians 2:6-8)
   3. The Name is exalted (Philippians 2:9-11)

4. JESUS IS MORE
   1. Jesus is more than enough (all things provided by Jesus)
   2. Do not leave Jesus stuck in feeding trough
   3. He came to live, win, die, rise, rule
