Prayer Priorities

When you should pray, pray.

1. GOD TALKS TO JOSHUA (Joshua 1:1)

   1. God commissions Joshua (Joshua 1:2)
   2. God promises Joshua (Joshua 1:3)
   3. God encourages Joshua (Joshua 1:6-9)

2. JOSHUA ACTS WITHOUT PRAYER (Joshua 1:10)

   1. Saddle up (Joshua 1:10)
   2. God's people do not pray, only set conditions (Joshua 1:17)
   3. Contrast with Moses
      1. People prayed for a leader (Exodus 2:23)
      2. Moses prayed for Egyptians during plagues (Exodus 9:28-29) (Exodus 9:33) (Exodus 10:17-18)
      3. Deliverance (Exodus 15:1-18) (Exodus 15:21)
      4. Every time they moved (Numbers 10:25-36)

3. WHY YOU DO NOT PRAY

1. We are the people of God, do we talk to Him?
2. Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38-42)
3. Busyness, but what is more important?
