Identity in the Temple

The Church is not a building made with stone, it is a building made with living flesh.

1. DO GOD'S WILL (1 Peter 2:4,6-8)

1. A living stone (Psalm 118:22; Acts 4:10-11; Matthew 21:42)
2. Rejected by men
3. Chosen and Precious (honored) by God
4. Those who believe will not be put to shame
5. The corner stone because a scandal
6. They stumble because they disobey

2. BE CONFORMED TO THE WORD (into Jesus'image)

1. We are also living stones to be built into a spiritual house (The new Temple)
2. What is a spiritual house to be and do:

1. A holy priesthood
2. To offer spiritual sacrifices

3. KEEP THE COMMANDMENT AND BECOME A STONE THAT FITS GOD'S BUILDING.

1. A new and unique people group (9-10)

1. A Chosen Race
2. A Royal Priesthood
3. A Holy Nation
4. A People for His possession

2. To proclaim His excellencies for what he did for us
3. What you were, what you are. (We should never forget)
