THE VICTORY OF HIS SACRIFICE (1 Peter 3:18-21) Jesus notifies the imprisoned angels He has won (1 Peter 3:19-20) (2 Peter 2:4) (Jude 6) God saved Noah with the same judgement of the unrighteous (1 Peter 3:18b-19) Baptism is the symbol of salvation (1 Peter 3:20-21) Embrace the power of Christ symbolized by your baptism as a declaration of war against Satan and your identity with Christ and His victory over sin and death. Allow the Holy Spirit to transform you into the character of Christ. (Romans 12:1-2) THE HOPE OF HIS SACRIFICE (1 Peter 3:22) Jesus has ultimate triumph over all authorities and powers (Matthew 27:64) (Daniel 7:13-14) Jesus is exalted to the right hand of God (Hebrews 1:3) The truth of Jesus resurrection gives us hope, assurance, and confidence of our resurrection in the face of suffering.
