Identity in Preparation for War

(1 Peter 4:1-6)

This is a come as you are war, are you ready?

1. IDENTIFY THE RIGHT MIND (1 Peter 4:1-2)
   1. Have the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5-8)
   2. Set your mind to live for the will of God
2. Identify the wrong actions (1 Peter 4:3-4)
   1. People decide to live in destructive activities (all selfish patterns)
   2. People want you to join them in destructive activities (all to feel better)
3. Identify the right life (1 Peter 4:5-6)

1. We must be conscious that we are headed to judgment. (John 16:8-11)
2. The gospel brings us from death to life (we no longer live as dying dead men)

What about you?

1. Is your mind set to be willing to suffer for Christ’s sake?
2. Are you living for your self comfort or for the will of God?
3. What would you say to God if you stood before Him in the next moment?
