      2. A simple message
      3. A sure message
      4. A sorrowful message
  3. PEOPEL BELIEVE (Jonah 3:5)

  1. Simple belief
  2. Sure of God
  3. Shown repentance
  1. KING GETS INVOLVED (Jonah 3:6-9)

    1. King follows the people lead
    2. King flings out an official decree
      1. No one can eat or drink
      2. Everyone must wear signs of repentance
      3. Everyone must pray to God
      4. Everyone must turn away from evil deeds
      5. God may not destroy us
  2. GOD HAS MERCY

    1. God was watching
    2. God was waiting
    3. God was comforting (relented same as comforted in Psalm 23)

Conclusion:

  1. When you hear a call to act and you do not act, you are in rebellion
  2. The message is simple, are you telling it to others?
  3. Pray for the people of God’s loving attention.
