Jesus commands it Jesus transfers His authority to our mission (therefore) Who makes disciples? The Church/which is the people Where do we make them? All the Nations How do we make disciples? Go Baptize them into the Church Teach them how to obey all Jesus’ commands a) Koinonia (Contrast young and old -natural to the young because they have not had a lifetime. Harder for the Old because of the continuity of friends over time) b) Edification Which is Discipleship) The Confidence to make disciples Jesus is with us Jesus commands us Jesus said He will build His church (Matthew 18:16-19 16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Simple Diagram What are we going to do?
