(Romans 6:15-23) Deliverance from sin enables us to do the work that is still left to do. NO MORE SIN We are no longer slaves to sin, but we are slaves to righteousness. Sin begets sin God delivers us from sin Same pattern, different master (19) Sanctification (being made more and more separated unto God, is a process. We are set free from sins power at the beginning, but we have more work to do. We are now to give our “members” to God to do what He wants with us. God’s will is for us to do righteousness, and the doing of God’s will develops sanctification in us. What are these means of grace? (The Gospel, God’s Word both heard (preaching and teaching) and read/ studied, The sacraments of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper, prayer, faithfulness to assemble with the church, giving, serving, fasting.
