(Romans 11:11-36)

Come to the table where you do not deserve to sit

  1. GOD MADE ROOM FOR US (Romans 11:10-12) (God had a plan to save us)

    1. The Jews trespass brought the gospel to the Gentiles
    2. If this brought the riches of God to everyone, how much larger will be the Glory of God be when they repent
    3. God has opened the gospel to Jew and Gentile. The old is gone, the new has come.
  2. GOD CALLED US TO REMAIN (Romans 11:13-24) (Paul patiently explains it to the gentiles) God did not replace one with the other, He expanded it to include all people and changed the structure and revealed that His plan all along was to make one people called saints who dwell in His presence.

    1. Paul makes a big deal of his position as “Apostle to the Gentiles”.
    2. Paul uses two illustrations
    3. God warns us to remain in Christ (John 15 Abide). God can remove and graft in branches
  3. GOD'S MERCY DESERVES OUR WORSHIP (Romans 11:25-36) (God has used the Jews and the Gentiles)

  1. There is a partial hardening to fill the number of all the saved is complete.
  2. They are opposed to the Gospel, but God still has a plan
  3. We were once like they are now (30-32)
  4. Gods’ mercy deserves our worship. Paul shows how the Jews and the Gentiles are a benefit to each other in Gods’ grace. God show mercy to one group and the other shares the blessings. Is not that just like God. But Gods’ plans are never thwarted. God works out all things to bring glory to Himself.
  5. Paul is overtaken with Praise and gives a doxology!
