HomeGroup Questions Spring Session 2020 WISE PLANNING | Church on the Couch Selected Proverbs on plans | May 17, 2020

  1. Are you a long range planner, or do you take one day at a time?
2. When it comes to making plans these days, what is more difficult? Anything easier?
3. Review this week’s message and the outline and passages. What stood out for you?
4. How are we supposed to use the Scriptures for decision-making when the Bible doesn’t cover choices like private school vs. public school, vacation vs. staycation, solar energy vs. conventional energy, Roth vs. IRA?
5. Doug mentioned how HomeGroups can be a source of wise counsel. How have you experienced this in your group? Any specific examples?
6. Look again at Proverbs 16:3. How would you explain this in your own words? What is promised? What is our responsibility?
7. The sixth principle in the message is, “Don’t stress over the results.” Is this easy or hard for you? How could it be freeing for the believer who embraces the truth of Proverbs 21:31?
8. The final principle is, “Trust that God's bigger plan is best.” Have you ever experienced this? If so, how?
