  1. When it comes to making decisions, how quick are you?

  1. Another way to think about that first question —> When ordering on a menu, how much time do you take? Order the first thing you see? Study the menu as if you’ll be tested on it, and then ask the server follow up questions? Other?
  1. Read Matthew 26:36-44 and review the outline. What stood out to you?
  1. How does this passage showcase the humanity of Jesus?
  1. Jesus prayed three times here in the Garden of Gethsemane. He had just finished predicting that Peter would disown Him three times (see Matthew 26:34). It seems Matthew meant for us to make a connection. If so, what might it illustrate?
  1. EXTRA CREDIT: Compare Jesus' prayer in vs. 39 with the longer Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13. What are the similarities?
  1. Doug said it was important to be honest in prayer about your true desires. Why is this an important step? Why not simply prayer, “Your will be done” and nothing more? What would be the downside of not considering what you really want when you come to God?
  1. How might the question,“What option would most enhance my relationship with God?” guide someone in their decision-making process?
