Read Mark 3:13-19 and review the outline. What stood out for you? What would you like to talk about more? While this passage deals specifically with Jesus' call to His original twelve disciples, how is it now applicable to all believers? Does it encourage you, or intimidate you, to think of yourself as a disciple of Jesus? More than doing something FOR Him, Jesus wants you to be WITH Him.” Let that soak in. How does it change the way you think about your spiritual life? According to vs. 15, Jesus has given you His authority in your life. While you may not be casting out demons like the first century disciples, what does it mean to have His authority today? Look at the list of disciples in vss. 16-19. Which ones are familiar to you? (Not to worry, many are unfamiliar to everyone). What do they tell you about what Jesus is looking for in a disciple? If being a disciple is completely achievable, why do Christians sometimes miss this call? Later in the series we will cover how to recognize God's ringtone in your life. But in anticipation of that, how have you learned to discern God's voice and call in your life amidst all the other noise? How can your group pray for you?
