  1. Can you think of a time when unity came easily for you in a relationship or community? What made it so effortless?
  1. What, from your experience, makes unity difficult to maintain? What obstacles do believers face in the Christian community?
  1. Read Ephesians 4:1-16 and review the outline. What stood out for you?
  1. Ephesians 4:3 calls us to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit.” Why is it significant that our job is to keep unity, rather than create it?
  1. How does the unity Jesus secured for us reflect the very nature of God (see vss. 4-6)?
  1. God made the body of Christ so diverse. It is made up of all kinds of people who are very different from one another. How can we shift our mindset to see these differences not as barriers but as opportunities for growth?
