  1. BEING

  • As believers, we can grieve

  • Forever, we will be

  • Now, we can find encouragement

  1. Time change weekend gave us an extra hour of sleep — how did you “spend” yours?
  1. What’s one thing you’re looking forward to in the next few months — something that gives you hope or excitement?
  1. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and review the sermon outline. What stands out for you?
  1. In verse 13, Paul says he doesn’t want believers to be “uninformed.” Why do you think understanding the truth about Jesus’ return is so important for our daily faith?
  1. In the message, Doug said that “Death doesn’t disqualify believers — it actually promotes them to first in line.” How does that perspective encourage or challenge the way you see life and death (vv.15–16)?
  1. Verse 17 says we’ll “meet the Lord in the air.” What does that image stir in you — awe, mystery, comfort, curiosity? Why?
  1. Paul says we “do not grieve as those who have no hope” (v.13). How do we balance real grief with real hope when facing loss?
  1. Verse 18 calls us to “encourage one another with these words.” What are some practical ways we can do that — especially when someone is discouraged or afraid about the future?
