Ephesians 4:11-12(NKJV)

When saints are equipped to minister, the body of Christ is edified!

  • The most important aspect of our faith journey is continuing John 8:31-32 (NASB)
  • Staying strong and finishing our race is crucial!
    • Not burning inside, is the beginning of burning out
    • When Jesus walked on earth, He didn’t just gather followers; He intentionally equipped disciples to carry forward His mission.
    • We are called to follow in His footsteps, not just in belief, but in action.

What does it mean to equip disciples?

  • Helping to nurture a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
    • Prioritizing our relationship with the Lord
  • Equipping involves teaching and training.
    • Jesus invested time teaching His disciples
    • Equipping goes beyond head knowledge; it’s about modeling Christ-like character and obedience.
  • Equipping means empowering others for ministry.
    • Jesus sent the Disciples out to heal, preach, and serve.

Why is equipping so important?

  • Equipping and being equipped involves community and accountability
    • Jesus didn’t send out His disciples alone; He sent them in pairs, fostering a supportive, growth environment
    • We need community, fellow believers who challenge, encourage, and pray for us as we strive to live out our faith.
  • A body is made up of different members, a dislocated body part does not function properly
    • Equipping goes beyond gathering and taps into empowering and sending forth men and women who are fully committed to Christ’s mission.
  • When you’re equipped you can identify and tap into the unique gifts and talents that Jesus invested in you.
    • When we use these gifts for Kingdom work, fulfillment and joy is the result
  • Flowing in the Kingdom is flowing in Love
    • Love is always outward focused, Pride is always inward focused
  • God’s Love is trustworthy Psalm 5:11(NKJV)
    • Joy is the voice of Hope
    • Joy is a demonstration of trusting God
  • Equipping and being equipped is doing what Jesus did.
