The Father Kept His Promise
Acts 1:4-8 (NKJV)

  1. There’s power that comes with being baptized with the Holy Spirit and it’s this power that allows us to be His witnesses. 
  2. The power of the Gospel has been delegated to believers
    • God has already done His part, and now we must do ours.
    • God will not preach the Gospel for us. Angels aren’t allowed to preach the Gospel for us (Acts 10:3-5 (NKJV).
       

1 Corinthians 2:12-14(NKJV)

  1. When we allow Him to fill us, He can flow out of us and impact the world around us.
    • We’re on assignment to take territory for the Kingdom of God, our purpose should line up with the Kings purpose 1 John 3:8 (NKJV)
    • Your Supernatural Life includes destroying the works of the devil

Benefits of being baptized with the Holy Spirit

  1. The opportunity to be a powerful witness Acts 1:8(NKJV) 

  2. To have strength during times of weakness

  3. To pray according to the will of God

    • Romans 8:27(NKJV)

    • Acts 2:1-4 (NKJV)
    • God wants His Spirit to come upon you and out of you to establish His kingdom
    • Luke 24:49 (NKJV)

Application(Receiving the Promise)

  1. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior
  2. Ask to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit
  3. Expect the Holy Spirit to provide the words
    • You must speak out in cooperation with the Holy Spirit
    • Acts 10:46 (NKJV)
    • Acts 19:6 (NKJV)
  4. Release all Fears
    • Know that God is a Good Father and is going to give you what you ask for
    • Luke 11:9-13 (NKJV)
    • John 7:36-39 (NKJV)
  5. Put action to your faith and give voice to the prompting of the Holy Spirit
