What does it mean to live the Book of Acts?

  1. Doing what Jesus says to do Acts 1:4 (NKJV)
    • The promise of the Father was important for their upcoming assignment.
  2. To allow the Holy Spirit to move through you without limits. Acts 1:5 (NKJV)
    1. John baptized with water, now those assembled and waiting, would be baptized with the Holy Spirit
    2. those who did what Jesus said, received the Promise of the Father Acts 1:6-7 (NKJV)
  3. To live the book of Acts requires- Staying focus on God’s agenda
    1. Becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ is more than just believing in Him—it’s a lifelong journey of transformation, surrender, and devotion.
    2. your personal desires will always fight for your focus
    3. your comfort is the arch enemy of your calling Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
  4. The only way to live the book of Acts is to let His power pave the way
    • When we allow Him to fill us, He is able to flow out of us and impact the world around us.
  5. The presence and anointing of the Holy Spirit is the power source in the life of believing believers

Why did the early church thrive?

  1. Because they were consumed by the fire of the Holy Spirit.
    1. It was this anointing power of the Holy Spirit that worked miracles in the life of Jesus

    2. we need anointing and power to follow in Jesus’s footsteps
      John 14:12(NKJV)
  2. The early church prayed fervently
  3. The early church gave sacrificially
    • Time, Treasure, and Talents
  4. The early church thrived because they lived with an urgency to advance the Kingdom
    1. True discipleship means following the teachings of Jesus, walking in His footsteps, and allowing His love to shape every aspect of our lives.
    2. We should focus more on being witnesses instead of judges
    3. Let your life present overwhelming evidence that wins the case for Jesus

How to go from comfort to calling?

  1. Keep your eyes on Jesus
    Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)
  2. Renew your mind with God's word
    Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
  3. Allow persecution to push you closer to Jesus
  4. Be Happy
