Cultivate Leadership

Cultivate

Principles to remember during this series

  • What we sow, we harvest.
  • We cannot grow, what we do not sow.
  • God does not multiply what we mismanage.
  • We can’t do everything, but we can do something.

You will never truly feel connected to a church until you begin to serve in it. Attending helps you grow spiritually, but serving allows you to fulfill your God given purpose.

“Everything rises and falls on leadership” -John Maxwell

Biblical Leadership Structure - Ephesians 4:11-16

  1. Every Christian has a mission.
  2. Church is not just a place you attend, it’s a movement you are a part of.
  3. Christianity is not a spectator sport.
  4. I can’t do everything, but I can do something.

Ask yourself…

  • What am I passionate about?
  • What am I good at?

“Your gift is what comes easy to you but hard for most.”

TRACTOR VS. TRAILER

  • Tractors: lead the way, pull, out front (LEADERS)
  • Trailers: behind, need to be pulled, follows (MANAGERS)

Why should I lead a ministry at New Hope?

  • We value collaboration.
  • We can never have enough leaders.
  • Your gifts and experiences are valuable and needed.
  • We have a place for you.
