Overlook - “to pass over.” How do we find strength, security, and peace? Live unoffendable “Life is too short and your calling is too great to live offended.” HOW CAN I BECOME UNOFFENDABLE? Know who you are (v. 1-3). John 1:1; Jesus knew that his hour had come…. John 1:3; Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority…. John 1:11; Jesus knew who would betray him….. Jesus knew his purpose and his mission. Knowing who you are is the key to living unoffended. Insecure people are easily offended. Matthew 5:9; Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Love anyway (v. 4-5). John 13:5; Then he began to wash the disciples feet…… I Corinthians 13:13; But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love. To serve is to love. Love is action-oriented. You can serve without loving, but you can’t love without serving. Serve like Jesus (v. 6-17). John 13:15; I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you. To serve like Jesus is to love like Jesus. Your action is more important than your opinion.
