Acts 2025 EW Part 15

God can use our conflict to expand His mission when we stay committed to His purpose.

Acts 15:36
After some time had passed, Paul said to Barnabas, “Let’s go back and visit the brothers and sisters in every town where we have preached the word of the Lord and see how they’re doing.”

Acts 15:37
Barnabas wanted to take along John who was called Mark.

Acts 15:38
But Paul insisted that they should not take along this man who had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not gone on with them to the work.

Acts 15:39
They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company, and Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed off to Cyprus.

Acts 15:40
But Paul chose Silas and departed, after being commended by the brothers and sisters to the grace of the Lord.

Acts 15:41
He traveled through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.

Who was Paul?

Who was Barnabas?

What was their relationship?

God can use our conflict to expand His mission when we stay committed to His purpose.

Conflict is normal but shouldn’t be normalized.

Romans 12:18
If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Conflict among God’s people matters.

It’s OK to have a stance. To hold a conviction.

Conflict didn’t stop the mission.

1 Corinthians 9:6
“Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working for a living?”

Colossians 4:10
“Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, and Mark the cousin of Barnabas…”

2 Timothy 4:11
Only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you, for he is useful to me in the ministry.
