1 Corinthians 12:25

“So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.”

Galatians 6:1-2

TO SHOW GENUINE CONCERN -

  1. Requires Someone Who Is . “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness…” (Galatians 6:1)

“spiritual” – to be in the Lord.

Note: (Being spiritual is not looking good because someone is looking .)

“Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when he stumbles, do not let your heart rejoice.” (Proverbs 24:17)

Note: (Being spiritual is looking up and not looking .)

“Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else.” (Galatians 6:4)

II. Requires Someone Who Is
“Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness…” (vs. 1)

“restore” – to put back in .

Note: (This is a medical term for putting a limb back in place.)

Things To Remember When Offering Help:

• Being restored is for the person. Luke 15:17-20

• Being restored takes from us. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

“The good get tired of doing good quicker than the bad get tired of doing bad.” Anonymous

• Being restored requires by us. “He (Jesus) replied, ‘This kind can come out only by prayer.’” (Mark 9:29)

• Being restored is not a to anyone. 2 Timothy 4:9-10

“Demas” – Colossians 4:14, Philemon 24, 2 Timothy 4:9-10

Note: (It is impossible to love the unlovable unless you are convinced you are also .)

CONCLUSION: The reason we should be “concerned for each other” is because we never know when it will be our .

“…considering yourself lest you also be tempted.” (Galatians 6:1)
