Our daily bread (11) 5. Our forgiveness (12) 6. Our protection (13) There is a 1, 2, 3 structure in the Lord’s prayer: One petition for the body, two petitions for the soul, and three petitions for God’s glory. This is the Lord’s pattern for prayers. Hallowed be Your name. (Matthew 6:9) • Pray for great for God. • “You alone are God.” (Ps. 86:10) Your kingdom come. (Matthew 6:10) • Pray for Christ to in the hearts of people. • Pray for Satan’s kingdom to be undone. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (6:10) • Pray God’s will is on earth. • Pray God’s will is done on earth as it is in Heaven.
