What do we know about God and his interactions with us in times of a windy landscape. Here are some of my thoughts: • God didn’t windy landscapes, sinful humans did. • God has not to make the windy landscapes go away; He is not obligated to do that. • BUT God has promised to through the windy landscapes when they come. Now let’s look at that First Century landscape for the church: The church was born in an . (Acts 2:41-42) The church was born in . (Acts 4:1-22) The church was born in . (Acts 5:1-11) The church was born in . (Acts 7) BUT GOD… A on Temple Mount is miraculously healed. (Acts 3) The under the influence of the Holy Spirit set aside personal greed and selfishness and shared everything. (Acts 4:32-35) Many occur. (Acts 5:12-16) Using the of the church by the Jewish leaders, God scattered the Christians to other cities where new churches were founded. (Acts 8) Peter is miraculously from jail. (Acts 12:3-19) And so much more! You see, God didn’t remove the windy landscape, but He was there through it all and working all things for good. And He is here now. Don’t think for one minute that COVID-19 took God by surprise. He knew it was coming before it even started. You know what I need to do? I need to stop complaining about the places I can’t go and the things I can’t do and start asking God what He wants me to learn from this latest Windy Landscape. And all of you need to do the same!
