What You Need to Hear from the One

John 4:27–42

Our lives should be about finding the ones Jesus loves and giving them the gospel.

This Woman is an outcast, immoral, ignorant, and indifferent.

This Woman was unloved and this Woman was lost.

Salvation is an act of obedient worship and True Worship begins with confessing Jesus as Lord.

  1. They Need the Love of Christ.

  2. They Need Confrontation and compassion.

  3. They Need the Law.

  4. They Need Conviction. The law is not a checklist to do to be right with God, it is a mirror to show us how much we have sinned.

  5. They Need Direction.

  6. They Need the Truth.

True worship is always about loving God, honoring God, obeying God, serving God from the heart.

  1. What Sinners need is to know WHO God is

We worship God as He is revealed to us. – Father, Son, Spirit.

His Message to the Woman

I am the Messiah

  4. Proof from His insight into men’s souls (vv. 35–38);
  5. Proof from His impression on the Samaritans (vv. 39–42).

The Woman’s Message to the Men

Jesus’ Message to the Disciples

I did not come to eat, I came to save people from their sins.

I want you to see what is most important.

The gulf that separated me from Christ, my Lord, It was so vast the crossing I could never ford; From where I was to His domain, it seemed so far, I cried, “Dear Lord, I cannot come to where you are.”

He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

He came to me when I was bound in chains of sin, He came to me when I possessed no hope within, He picked me up and He drew me gently to His side, Where, today, in His sweet love I now abide.

He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

Yes, He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

Who in your life does Jesus want you to “find”?

Who are your praying for to come to Christ?

Have You ever received Christ’s offer for forgiveness?
