Ephesians 2:11–13

Remember Your Past Situation (2:11–13)

You were far from Jesus (vv. 11–12)

Christless: You were separated from Christ (vv. 11–12)

Homeless: You were alienated from the citizenship of Israel (v. 12)

Friendless: You were strangers to the covenants of promise (v. 12)

Hopeless: You were without hope (v. 12)

Godless: You were without God (v. 12)

Uncircumcised.

Unwelcome.

Unrelated.

Unhopeful.

Ungodly.

But now you have been brought near to Jesus(v. 13)

By your union with Christ (v. 13a)

By Christ’s sacrifice (his “blood”) (v. 13b)
