Applications for Today

Gospel

The World Rejected Jesus when He came.

The World Rejects the Gospel now.

The World will reject the truth even during the future wrath.

God cares about those He will judge. (Revelation 6:15-17, Matthew 24:14)

You Can Be Saved from the Wrath to come.

Prayer

“Prayer is not getting man’s will done in heaven, but getting God’s will done on earth. It is not overcoming God’s reluctance but laying hold of God’s willingness.”—Richard Trench

1. Our battle is fierce!—There are demons who are fighting you and want to destroy you.

2. Our prayers are effective!—Our cries go up and His kingdom comes down.

3. Our God is faithful!—He will demonstrate His power, vindicate His people, extend His mercy, and uphold His justice. (“Life of the Christian”) – Akin
