Why Celebrate Palm Sunday?

1. Celebration of Passover – What God did in the past

2. Celebration fulfilled Prophecy – What God is doing now, what God can do now

He is a promise keeping God. He is Faithful - He will bring it to pass.

• Eternal

• Omnipotent

• Omniscient

• Faithful

3. Certainty Jesus is King

The King of the universe kept his appointment to be ultimate sacrifice - “our Passover”

“Hosanna - Blessed is the one comes in name of Lord”

  • “a shout of praise” and literally means “‘help’ or ‘save, I pray,’”

“He’s our King”

Same crowd cried Hosanna - jeered “crucify Him!”

Palm Sunday is the start of the path to ultimate victory over

• Disease

• Depression

• Death

• Sin

• Penalty of sin

• Presence of sin

• Power of sin

How can I celebrate His Triumphal Entry?

  1. Helps to Foster heart of worship
  2. Helps me not to fear - John 12:13
  3. Helps me to share the gospel - good news
  4. Helps me want to spend more time w/ Jesus

Whom Did Christ Die for?

Ephesians 2:14–16 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
