Stay Captivated With Christ

Why is it that it is possible to lose sense of that wonder?

Life Event instead of a Lifestyle Change

1. Remember His Authority (vv. 7:28-29)

Authority: Power, Control, In Charge

Does He have authority in and over your life? Are you in charge or is He in charge?

2. Receive What He Has Said (vv. 7:24-27)

What effect are His Words having in your life? Do you receive them or do you reject them?

Comparison of Two builders

Heard the same message

Had the same plan

Experience the same storm

But the difference is in how they responded to the message.

It is never a matter of if, but always a matter of when. It is better to obey now rather than later. It is better to receive his words now rather than later.

3. Resolve To Follow Him (Matthew 8:1)

Is He Worthy?

Is He worthy of my time?

Is He worthy of my talents?

Is He worthy of my treasures?

Is He worthy of my worship?

Is He worthy of my inconvenience?

This has to be a daily commitment.

Staying captivated with Christ isn’t easy, but it is always worth it.
