I am Committed to the Gospel

2 Timothy 1:7–2:2

Because the gospel has been entrusted to us, we must courageously guard it and faithfully pass it on.

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again, accomplishing salvation for all who repent and believe in Him.

1. I Will Not Be Ashamed of The Gospel

2 Timothy 1:7–12

1. The Gospel Saved Us — vv. 8–10
2. The Gospel Sent Us — v. 11
3. The Gospel Sustains Us — v. 12

The gospel isn't something we own. We are stewards of a message that belongs to God.

Gospel commitment requires gospel courage.

2. I Will Not Compromise the Gospel

2 Timothy 1:12-14

• Guard the gospel.
• Take care of it and make sure it gets to the next generation.

We're stewards of the gospel.

3. I Will Pass the Gospel to Others

2 Timothy 2:1–2

1. We Must Tell Others About Jesus
2. We Must Teach Others to Follow Jesus
3. We Must Invest in the Next Generation

The gospel didn't begin with us, and it must not end with us.

The gospel came to us through someone else, and it must go to someone else through us.
