One of 3 Choices: Live in Denial “I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,’ and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.” Psalm 32:5 Live in Denial: Doesn’t change the truth Doesn’t change the condition Doesn’t change the consequences One of 3 Choices: Live in Denial Live in Deception Live in Deception: Deception makes us a liar 1 John 1:8 “8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” Live in Deception: Deception makes us a liar Deception makes God a liar 1 John 1:10 “10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” Live in Deception: Deception makes us a liar Deception makes God a liar Deception makes its father happy John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. One of 3 Choices: Live in Denial Live in Deception Live in Deliverance Romans 7:23-25 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin. Live in Deliverance: Deliverance from the burden Deliverance from the guilt “For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.” Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Live in Deliverance: Deliverance from the burden Deliverance from the guilt Deliverance from the consequences Romans 6:20-23 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.
