Vision 2020 Sunday

What is our Vision Path for the new year?

“If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.”

Zig Ziglar

Proverbs 21:5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.

Vision carries with it a sense of:

Conviction – firm in beliefs
Passion – giving all for God

Passionate in our relationship with God
Passionate in worship
Passionate in discipleship
Passionate in evangelism
Passionate in missions

Mission Statement of First Free Will Baptist Church:

“As members of First Free Will Baptist Church, we will Gather to encourage the saints, We will Grow to learn the heart of god, we will Give sacrificially to build his kingdom, and we will Go into the world so that all may know him.”

Gather …to encourage the saints
Grow …to learn the heart of god
Give …sacrificially to build his kingdom
Go …so that all may know him

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Gather

  • Commitment of our present membership
  • Coordination of a “second week” team
  • Collection of new members
  • Communication of all church events

2 Peter 3:17-18 You already know these things, dear friends. So be on guard; then you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing. Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.
