Boasting in Our Weaknesses

2 Corinthians 11:16-12:10

2 Corinthians 11:16-31

“Paul’s boast was that his life was like that of Christ. Look at Isaiah 53, As Jesus had been “a Man of sorrows and familiar with suffering,” so had Paul. As Jesus “took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows” so, in a different sense, had Paul. Paul’s boast was that he was like the suffering Servant, Jesus.” - David Lowrey

  1. Obediently following Jesus can bring about great in our lives.

In your suffering, you can focus on what you are losing, or you can remind yourself about what Jesus has given you.  

In your weakness you rely on your own strength or you can turn to the strength of Jesus. 

  1. Suffering points us to a greater than our own.
