The glory of God means – the glory, honour, praise, respect for and adoration given to God – everything accredited to God to make us stand in awe of Him and make us love & respect Him – His goodness! Psalm 34 - "Taste and see that the LORD is good”. 2. Another definition of the glory of God is the inheritance of everything His kingdom owns becomes our possession – including wealth, prestige and property, fame & recognition. Moses asks God – ‘how will anyone know we are different & special & your favoured people?’ And God answers ‘I will let my goodness pass by you' Psalm 27 - Yet I am confident that I will see the LORD's goodness while I am here in the land of the living. 2 Corinthians 3: 18 - And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory (GOODNESS) of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become transformed more and more like him and reflect his glory (GOODNESS) even more. 3. The glory of God – asking God to show us His glory also means the state we enjoy when we are the object of His glory – His goodness – this is when we enjoy the admiration and honour from God Himself to us – we are the OBJECT OF HIS HIGHEST REGARD AND PRAISE!..… His ceaseless DELIGHT!! Ezekial 36:25-26 - "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so you will obey my laws and do whatever I command. 4. The fourth definition of the glory of God includes the idea of the depth and intensity of God drawn out and manifested in an outward appearance& actions that catches the eye, attracts attention and commands recognition. 2 Corinthians 3.18 - All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transformed much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him. Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), [a]recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
