The Virgin Birth of Jesus guarantees the nature of Jesus. The Virgin Birth of Jesus gives the basis and foundation for the Incarnation of Jesus. And the Incarnation is essential for our salvation. Why The Virgin Birth Matters Because God is Holy, He only does that which is consistent with His holiness. Belief in the virgin birth is not required in order to become a follower of Jesus. While it is not impossible to be a follower of Jesus and still deny the virgin birth, it is improbable. The resurrection of Jesus gives credibility to the virgin birth. It says something to us about God. God really wants us in a relationship with Him. It gives us the confidence and assurance that Jesus can really save us.
