Matthew 2:13-23 The presence of God threatens evil, but the presence of evil is no threat to God. I can trust a God who allows suffering because He Himself entered it, endured it, and overcame it. Emmanuel does not mean no suffering. It means no suffering alone. From the manger to the Spirit to the coming Kingdom, Emmanuel means God is with His people—now and forever.
