Psalm 51

By Brian Clayburgh, February 19, 2026

Psalm 51: 1-19

The need for confession, the process of repentance, and the joy of restoration.

True repentance begins with God’s mercy.

True confession takes full responsibility.

When we confess sin, we are not informing God of something He doesn’t know. We are agreeing with God about what He already sees.

Repentance begins when we see sin as God sees it.

True repentance seeks cleansing, not just consequence removal.

True repentance isn’t behavior modification, it’s heart transformation.

Sin steals joy, not salvation

Acts 3:19-20

In the hardest and truest moments of our sin, will we repent of our sin, or repent of Christ?
