TELL Week 2 By: Anita Venning This series will be used to show every believer the power of their faith testimony. We will be speaking very practically each week about why and how to tell our stories of faith and the impact that has on this world. Looking Back Listen to the song I Speak Jesus by Charity Gayle. In your daily time with God, what is one thing that has been memorable. Where have you seen God at work this week and has there been an opportunity to share that with others? Looking Up Read Isaiah 55:11, How does this verse encourage us to share biblical truth about God, even when there isn't a positive response? Read Luke 8:4-15, What did you notice in this parable about the sower? Where was his focus and what can we learn from this parable? Read Acts 8:26-39, From these verses discuss who do you tell, what do you tell and when and how that may look in our own lives. Watch a clip from “Why and when we preach the gospel.” It is 8:32 minutes long, start from 4:00 minutes until the end. How can you be prepared, intentional and on the look out to speak truth about God in your conversations? Think about a recent way you have seen God at work (it may be what you shared during ‘looking back’.) Who could you share that with in conversation this week? Prayer Pray for the Alpha course and ask the Father if there is anyone He would have you invite. Finish your time of prayer together, with a verse from the hymn, O for a Thousand Tongues by Charles Wesley. The LG leader can say a phrase at a time and then the group repeat it. “My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim, to spread thro all the earth abroad, the honours of your name.” Amen.
