COMMUNITY (Def) Living in meaningful relationships where spiritual formation happens together instead of alone.

Big Idea

Since we were created in the image of a relational God, we were made for relationship—with God and with one another.

Our identity comes our activity.

Genesis 1:26–27 (NLT) 26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.”...27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

  • Genesis 2:18 (NLT) “It is not good for the man to be alone.”

Four circles help us visualize:

  1. Brothers & Sisters (1–5 pple)
  2. Kin ~ 15 pple
  3. Village — a broader relational network
  4. Tribe — the larger family (Local Churches)

What Now?

Build these inner circles by starting (or joining) a small gathering of people around a table for a regular meal.
