Fear, Peace, and God's Call

John 20:19-21

In God I trust and am not afraid. Psalm 56:4

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

Jesus gives us . v. 19b

Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body. Matthew 5:25

The Living Jesus gives us inexplicable . v. 20

So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. John 16:22

We live as people Jesus. v. 21

There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John John 1:6

“My food,” said Jesus, "is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work." John 4:34

As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. John 17:18

  2. Has this “forced Sabbath” been good for your soul? Why or why not?

  3. Rick said that fear creeps in until we fail to notice it’s taken hold of our mind. What are you doing to prevent that from happening these days?
