Why this season can't steal your best things

Romans 8:1-30

The in life cannot be taken away. v. 1-4, 29-30

The best things in life are . v. 18-25

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10

The bad things will work . v. 28

God doesn't promise you better life circumstances, He promises you a better life.

Questions for Zoom Discipleship Groups:

  • Do you tend to focus on that you’ve lost in this season or the good things that can’t be taken away from you?

  • Read Romans 8:1-4, 28-30. How can these verses encourage you?

  • How does the future hope of v. 18-25 motivate you in the here and now?

  • Rick talked about Dallas Willard musing that he may not realize that he’s died because of his life with God. Can you imagine this for yourself? Why or why not?

  • Can you accept that God offers you a better life and not just better life circumstances? What does this mean for you to trust God in this?

  • How have you experienced this better life of v. 28 when God worked all things together for good to make you more like Jesus?
