Tap into the Power of the Resurrection

By Rick Bayer, April 17, 2022

Ephesians 1:19-21

19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.

Jesus is who He

I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; John 11:25 NIV

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 NIV

Jesus has the He claimed to have

No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. John 10:18 NLT

Jesus wants to share His power

Two Types of Power:

1. power

I often find that I have the will to do good, but not the power. Romans 7:18 (Philipps)

For it is God who is at work within you, giving you the will and the power to achieve his purpose. Philippians 2:13 (Phillips)

2. power

I can do all things through Christ, who empowers me. Philippians 4:13 AFV

The scripture says, “I spoke because I believed.” In the same spirit of faith we also speak because we believe. 2 Corinthians 4:13 GNT

Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, 16 the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, Joshua 3:15-16 NIV
