A disciple is someone who has not only been rescued by God but joins him in his call to make disciples. How are you involved? And we are sending along with him the brother who is praised by all the churches for his service to the gospel. What is more, he was chosen by the churches to accompany us as we carry the offering, which we administer in order to honor the Lord himself and to show our eagerness to help. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Luke 10:2 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8 Beyond the first 12 disciples, God continues to call all disciples to join him in His life-giving mission: While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”Acts 13:2 How do we begin to be on mission with God?
