It is commendable to suffer well because it reveals something supernatural in us. We get no credit from God when we face up to the consequences of our actions. What is the calling of every Christian in life? . Peter’s letter reveals a power imbalance, he is writing to those who have no option but to live in this state of imbalance. Should one seek freedom from oppression if the law allows for it? Yes. Who is Peter not addressing? . Suffering is something we are called to endure, not produce. There is a great benefit to suffering, personal and spiritual multiplication.
