Beyond the Veil

August 22, 2021

So, what does it take for that impossible thing to move into the realm of possibility? All the reasons for its impossibility must first be offloaded before this can take place. As long as there is a lingering excuse, unbelief will disable any necessary movement. In order to create or perform the masterpiece, lead the team, learn a language, move a mountain or really love someone, everything, including desire, that holds onto doubt must be dealt with. This removal of belief barriers can itself be the insurmountable obstacle. Removing the identifying experience that has convinced the heart it can never go there again will require some radical adjustment.

When Jesus breathed His last breath on the cross, there was this massive response in nature as heavy darkness fell, an earthquake shook the earth, rocks were severed, and this massive veil was torn that had kept anyone but a priest from entering the Holy presence of God. Jesus’ sacrifice initiated the most powerful offloading system of belief barriers. Where guilt and shame could never have been removed, the blood of Jesus made it possible to become completely cleansed. With that removal and complete death of unbelief’s reasons was also entrance into the realm where everything else is also possible. Now, all who simply follow Jesus past that restricting veil into the holy presence of the Father, disbelief barriers are put to death at His throne of grace. Access is immediately available to all and with it, a walk in the Spirit that is completely free of flesh’s weights.

Notes

Only need - belief

Mark 9:23 (NKJV) Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

In the Holy Presence of God – removal of reasons for doubt

Hebrews 9:1-4 (NKJV) Then indeed, even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and the earthly sanctuary. [2] For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary; [3] and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, [4] which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;

The Renting of the Veil

Matthew 27:50-54 (NLT) Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. [51] At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart, [52] and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. [53] They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people. [54] The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!”

Following Jesus beyond the veil is cleansing of all belief barriers and enabled service.

Hebrews 9:11-14 (NKJV) But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. [12] Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. [13] For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, [14] how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Passing the veil necessitates abandoning reasons for doubt – being cleansed.

Hebrews 10:19-22 (NKJV) Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, [20] by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, [21] and having a High Priest over the house of God, [22] let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Beyond the veil – soul’s anchor

Hebrews 6:19 [Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it–a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil, [Lev 16:2]

Though in the flesh, by intentionally passing the veil, find a walk of life in the Spirit.

Romans 8:5-6 (NKJV) For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. [6] For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Access to the realm of freedom provided in Christ.

Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
